Birthdays

Birthdays always bring reason to celebrate, even  in Spain.  It just happened that Robbie's birthday was on Friday, June 7th, the day after our opening reception.  Because Friday was going to be a busy day for Robbie, we decided to spring a little surprise on Thursday night.  As his host family kept him engaged in conversation outside, everyone else wedged themselves into the living room.  When Robbie walked in with his host family to hear an 'important announcement', the room erupted in a rousing rendition of Cumpleaños Feliz, 60 voices strong.  We think it caught him by surprise.
